In my first job in the VFX world was as a practical models, miniatures and full size mock-ups builder at Wonderworks. I amazingly got to work on the full size splashdown capsule (the scenes where they exit the capsule near the end) and the full size LEM. The LEM was used in the NASA training facility but was prominent in Jim Lovell's (Tom Hanks) dream sequence of having landed on the moon. An exciting experience. I really learned a lot in the almost two years working for them. After that it was all Digital. Can't even complain, but I will always love being able to "actually hold what your working on in your hands".
