Blackbird - Stealth Fighter Prototype - BSG

Although I used the original mesh as a starting point, I put in a lot of time on the surfacing, textures and geo as what was done for the show was quite minimalist as it only appeared in a few shots. I did my best to have it match the full size mockup created by the construction crews on set.

The Blackbird was only seen in a few episodes and used to infiltrate and destroy a Cylon Resurrection ship. It was built by Chief Galen Tyrol of the Galactica and many of the deck crew as a way to work through and take their minds off the recent stresses and losses of battle with the Cylons. It was christened the "Laura" for the Acting President of the Colonies Laura Roslin.
